Historia Magazine has kindly published my article on Atlantis and the Aryan Myth in the lead up to the release of Fables & Lies: A World War II Novel on 28 April 2026. In 1938, Himmler sent an expedition to Tibet from his research institute, the SS Ahnenerbe, to locate traces of proto-Aryans who had survived the sinking of Atlantis to support their theory of the ‘Master Race’.
My novel not only explores the quest of Berlin museum curators to save their nation’s treasures but also how the Nazis twisted the Aryan Myth to justify invastion, dispossession and murder. Fables & Lies - Plot in a nutshell
WWII Berlin, patriotic museum assistant Freyja Bremer, marries SS scholar Kaspar Voigt to protect her father, unaware of his role in Himmler’s schemes. While racing to save the priceless Priam’s Treasure, she falls for archaeologist, Darien Lessing, who exposes the moral decay beneath the Nazi Regime’s myths. Her awakening leads her to aid a Jewish doctor, confronting moral corruption as she risks everything to safeguard truth, treasure and love amid chaos.
